Chapter 1- Reawakning
I looked up at the black sky, dotted with glittering
white specks. –What are you looking at? - -Nothing- I
replied to my friend, Gwen. Jumping back onto my
horse, we rode away into the storm. I took one last
glance at my room, my house, my town, and my life.
Looking up at the stars one last time, I turned away,
and took a deep breath. This was the beginning of my
new life. Feeling a warm tear roll softly down my
cheek, I took the sleeve of my jacket, and wiped it
away. –I got to be strong- why was I feeling like
this? There was nothing left. My mother and father
fell ill and died, their funeral was today, and Gwen’s
parents feel ill and died too. We had no place to go,
we were orphans, riding into the huge thunderstorm. I
felt the waterfall of tears, looked up, and yelled.
Trying to yell the pain away, and yelling at my life,
I screamed until my voice was nothing but a short
faint whisper. It hurt to be any louder. The rain came
down in torrents now, as my tears did, I wiped them
away, Gwen and I had to be perfectly aware of our
surroundings. Only being 16, we were still young, and
didn’t have any sort of protection. I brought my
father’s katana, and my mothers bow and arrow, but
that was all we had. Nothing else. Gwen and I
practiced with out telekinesis in private; such things
seen in town would surely mean death. My life was so
great in town. Being athletic and living on a farm, I
could help my father with his daily chores, I could
race horses, and I had many great friends. But Gwen
was the only one who really understood me. We both
looked a little different than that of the average
person. I had dark purple-blue eyes, Gwen had dark
green eyes. We both had blondish reddish hair, and
slightly tan skin from working out in the fields. The
lightning lit up the sky, and I saw a little town, not
too far. –Do you see it? - -See what? - -The town, see
the little lights? - -Yea, I see it. - We both hurried
to the town, hurrying our horses. I could see the
outlines of the houses now, then the shadows of
people. We rode into town, and knocked on the INN
door. It wasn’t open, so we went to the castle. It was
the only place where we could talk to people. – Why
are we going to the castle, Malon? –
Chapter 2- Introductions
– Why are we going to the castle, Malon? –
- There are guards there.- Yeah, I guess we could ask
them where we could stay for the night. - - Wait,
isn’t this Hyrule? - -So what if it is? - -Umm, my
father knew a guy named Link. And I think when I was
like maybe 10 or something, Link came to our farm.
Then this year, he took Epona. - - I think he lives
here now. - We galloped to the gates; unmounted our
horses, and went to the guard. –Hey, do you know where
we could stay for the night, - I asked the guard.
–Well, it’s 5AM, and the cooks are getting breakfast
ready. I guess if you promised to be servants for a
little while until you got back on your feet, we’d
give you a nice warm place to stay, and we would feed
you well. - -SURE- Gwen and I yelled at the same time.
– Ok, then follow me inside- He opened the gates, and
two guards took out horses to the stalls. Walking
slowly trough the mud, some maids took me to the
castle, where they gave us baths, and freshly washed
uniforms. –You too will be working in the Princess’s
quarters. It’s 6AM. Time to wake her for her morning
ride. –Oooookkk- we followed a plump maid down a long
hall, with pictures of the kings, queens, princesses,
and princes before Princess Zelda. After what seems
like forever, you finally get to the end of the hall.
– I hope you missies are paying attention, because now
I’m going to teach you how to do your thing around
here- the maid said. She opened the gold doors, to
reveal a huge waiting room. The walls were light blue,
they had gold inlay and borders, and the carpet was a
beautiful white. There were reddish brownish chairs,
purplish reddish velvet pillows, a humungous vase of
flowers, and a huge view of all of Hyrule, and Kokoiri
Forest. –Wow- you whisper. –Yeah, isn’t it great- Gwen
said. Being a nice ol’ maid, the old woman let you two
look out at the breathtaking view. – I’m sorry, but I
have to show you two the rest of Princess Zelda’s
quarters. We all walked into Princess Zelda’s bedroom.
We saw a small lump under the covers, under light pink
satin down covers, with silk sheets, and at LEAST 10
pillows. –Princess. Princess Zelda, wake up.-
-UGGHHHNMUHUH- -We have guests, Princess- -OH!- she
popped up out of bed, smiling. –Hello- she said in a
thick British accent –Um, Yo- I said, showing the
peace sign. The maid whacked me upside the head, and I
apologized,. _Um, I’m…uh…sorry, Your Highness. I beg
your forgiveness- Zelda chuckled – It’s ok. It’s not
like everyday I get teens for room maids. So go ahead,
and greet me, however you like. But be careful. Don’t
greet me in a casual fashion around His Highness the
King , and Her Majesty, the Queen. And don’t call me
princess. It gets rather boring after awhile- Zelda
smiled brightly, and I said – here, ok, Yo, Zelda-
Zelda clapped her hands-Perfect. You know, I really
don’t like the idea of you two called “servants”. She
got out of bed, and threw Gwen and I beautiful dresses
with the triforce on it. Mine was strapless, and had
two separate parts. The top part was gold, and the
lower was goldish. I looked over at Gwen’s, and hers
was the same except she had silver and blue and
purple. Seems that we got each other’s eye color. Gwen
had dark green eyes with specks of gold, and I had
bluish purple eyes, with the slightest hint of silver.
Zelda also threw us corsets, and we had a hard time
putting them on. –OWW!!- -You’ll get used to it- Zelda
assured me. –Moiré? - Zelda called. The old maid
scurried in. –Take these- Zelda handed Moiré the servant outfits. -But...these girls are to be servants- Moire argued. -Not anymore, they are to be princesses.- Zelda turned to me and Gwen -Now, let me show your new home.
*~^*~^*WEll thats it! Tell me what y'all think! :)
